Warm cherry pie, tops down on the roadway. Sunburned feet and sweaty armpits.
It’s summer and the joy of running barefoot in the grass is just begging you to follow. Hot dogs and hamburgers, greasy French fries. Lobster rolls and fried clams.
Winter has flung itself behind the budding trees and the emerging dandelions and summer comes calling as we sip our beer on a warm afternoon.
Potlucks and BBQ’s. Iced tea and Diet Coke.
I watch the hummingbirds who fight over my feeders. The Grosbek’s and the Towhee’s as they pick the seeds I so loving put out each morning.
It’s also time for early morning yoga on the deck. Gazing at the clouds as they float by, aiming for another space and time.
It’s fresh peonies and iris’s. The smell of garlic and green onions as I pick them fresh from the ground.

It’s a quiet fire in the firepit on a clear night, snuggled in blankets, with pups on my lap. It is gawking at the magnitude of the night sky filled with stars seemingly so close I could catch them in my mouth.

Family gathers round, hiking the hills, swimming in lakes, fishing off the pier. Catching the big one with my rod. Taking it all in knowing this is the meaning of life. To enjoy the God given gifts that nature so freely shares with us each summer. Taking the time to settle in and calm down. Breathing the air and watching the storms roll by. Taking notice of every little detail while the mind relaxes and refuses to wander.
You captured it all so well!
